🌱 Climate Resilient Communities (CRC) is a volunteer-run project operating under Transition Toronto. We help marginalized communities build climate resilience, leveraging data & AI to transform climate anxiety into effective action.
🌻 Current projects include a youth data literacy workshop program, a community adaptation capacity building workshop program, a multilingual AI chatbot for accessible climate information, and a youth climate anxiety detection project to provide timely mental health supports and interventions.
Time Commitment: 5-10 hours per week based on project needs and flexibility
What you’ll be doing:
● Collaboratively develop and implement a funding plan for the project
● Research and apply for grants from various sources, leverage partnerships, create grant reports
Ideal skill set:
● Experience in grant writing and fundraising
● Skilled in developing and maintaining partnerships with organisations and stakeholders
● Strong organisational and communication skills
